Allan Briesmaster is a freelance editor and literary consultant. He the author of nine books of poetry, including Interstellar (Quattro Books, 2007), and has his own micro press, Aeolus House. His poetry has also appeared in many journals and anthologies.

From 1993 until 2002 Allan was the main organizer of the Art Bar Poetry Reading Series, and he is now one of four authors running the monthly Toronto WordStage. Since 1998, working with several literary presses, he has been instrumental in the production of more than 50 books of poetry and non-fiction. Allan lives in Thornhill, Ontario with his wife Holly, a visual artist with whom he has collaborated several times. There is an account of their most recent project in the anthology Imagination in Action (The Mercury Press, 2007).
